Terms of Service

These Terms are an agreement between you and Adam Kofod, an individual in California who operates Dorima ("Dorima," "we," or "us").

1. Acceptance and eligibility

By checking the acceptance box and creating or continuing an account, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy.

You must be at least 18 years old and reside in the United States to use Dorima. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not create or use an account.

2. Free trial and Dorima Free

New accounts receive a free trial of Dorima's AI features. The trial ends at the earlier of:

• seven calendar days after it begins; or
• the point when Dorima incurs $20 in AI-provider costs attributable to the account during the trial.

The $20 limit is a usage limit, not a fee charged to you. No payment card is required for the trial. The trial does not automatically become a paid subscription, and Dorima will not charge you when it ends. Your account instead moves to Dorima Free.

Dorima Free includes journaling, tasks, habits, projects, and calendar features. AI-dependent features—including advisors, chat, automated reads, and Compass—remain visible but do not run. Dorima does not send content from a Free account to its AI providers or create search embeddings from entries written while the account is Free.

Dorima may ask whether you are interested in a possible future paid offering. Expressing interest does not create a subscription, authorize a charge, restore AI features, or provide paid access.

3. The service

Dorima helps you organize personal information and provides AI-assisted search, summaries, observations, and conversations.

Dorima is not a medical provider, therapist, emergency-monitoring service, or professional adviser. It does not provide medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice.

4. AI features

AI features require a separate affirmative AI-processing choice. You may pause AI processing, although AI-dependent features will then be unavailable.

AI output can be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate. You are responsible for evaluating it before relying on it or taking action.

Automated distress classification may alter limited in-product behavior, but no person monitors classifications or receives an alert. Dorima does not contact emergency services or provide crisis intervention. If you need urgent help, contact an appropriate emergency or crisis service directly.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit.

You give Dorima a limited license to host, reproduce, process, transmit, and create derived records from that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the features you request, as described in the Privacy Policy. This license ends when the relevant content is deleted from Dorima's active systems, subject to the retention practices in the Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for having the right to submit any information about other people.

6. Integrations

You may connect third-party services such as Google Calendar. Their terms govern your use of those services.

If you grant calendar write access, Dorima may create, edit, or delete Google Calendar events that you created through Dorima. Dorima does not modify events originally imported from Google.

7. Acceptable use

You may not:

• use Dorima unlawfully or to violate another person's rights;
• access or attempt to extract another user's information;
• disrupt or probe the service or bypass security controls;
• automate or scrape Dorima without permission;
• abuse AI-usage limits; or
• resell or redistribute access to Dorima.

8. Suspension and termination

You may delete your account at any time.

We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address a Terms violation, misuse, security risk, legal requirement, or discontinuation of the service. Where practical, we will give notice and an opportunity to export the data then supported by Dorima's export tool.

9. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, Dorima is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, accurate, secure, or suitable for a particular purpose.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights or warranties that applicable law does not allow us to waive.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including lost data, profits, or opportunities.

Dorima's aggregate liability arising from the service will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid Dorima during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. This limitation does not apply where applicable law prohibits it.

11. Changes

We may change these Terms as Dorima changes. We will notify you of material changes and request renewed agreement where appropriate. Changes apply prospectively from their stated effective date.

12. Governing law

California law governs these Terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
